toddler becomes even
more tired and we have
to postpone the rest of
homework to get him
his nap but it is not an
easy task whatsoever
as my nerves have already
taken a beating and my
head is out to implode
from stress and the
barometer but he needs
me to carry him and he
needs to give me
contradicting commands
so he can get angry
and tell me NO and whine
and cry more and it takes
everything i've got to
coo and say ITS OK
in a soft reassuring voice
when i really just want to
scream and smash stuff
and throw everything
into the river
