gin is my night sizzle
is it elmer that makes
it so the one from the
unpublished novel
brother to john the
writer too serious
both breakfast
lovers of high coffee
and bacon enough
to barf you out but
brilliant fools in each
their own way and
i find myself in them
even though i have
neglected them to
care for these little
boys someday i will
return and let them
wail their existence
a primal yawp of
who they are for
all to read and hear
