as my poet friend reminded me
if you want to help me or yourself or the world
be kind
and it’s not just a simple thing
it is so simple that we miss it sometimes
just like peace can be so peaceful like a roar in the face
kindness is beyond good and bad and is about the basic situation that arises to those
kindness can be wrathful like a mother pushing her child out of the street as the bus barrels down or the father slapping a child’s hand away from the flame
all analogies have holes are only pointing toward something
